Woll Normal

Da sorgen die Eltern jahrelang für einen und irgendwann kehrt sich der Spieß um und die Kinder müssen sich um ihre Eltern sorgen. Ich will nicht allzusehr ins Detail gehen, da ich die Pivatsphäre meiner Eltern nicht verletzen möchte, aber soviel kann ich sagen, dass die Sorgen groß sind (und wahrscheinlich noch größer werden) und unsere Familie in den letzten Jahren eigentlich häufiger gebeutelt wurde. Mir geht es gerade nicht so gut, mir ist eher mehr zum Heulen zumute, vorallem weil ich auch kaum jemandem habe, dem ich mein Herz ausschütten kann. Eine “beste Freundin” gibt es schon lange nicht mehr (mein Mann ist in solchen Dingen auch nicht unbedingt ein geeigneter Gesprächspartner), aber das ist ein anderes Thema.

So for years your parents care for you and worry about you and at some point the situation reverses and you have to worry about your parents. I don’t want to go to much into details as I don’t want to invade my parents’ privacy but the worries are big and will get even bigger and our family had a few strokes of fate in the last few years. I feel like crying all the time and there isn’t barely anybody to whom I could spill my guts. There hasn’t been a “best friend” for some time now (and my husband isn’t much of a problem talker), but that’s another story.

Die Jacke wächst stetig weiter. Noch ein paar Reihen und ich kann das Rückenteil abketten. Jetzt bin ich am überlegen, ob ich nicht doch lieber eine Tunika daraus mache. Die würde ich wahrscheinlich häufiger anziehen, nehme ich mal an. Mal sehen: da das Ganze ja an Vorder- und Rückseite von oben gestrickt wird, habe ich ja noch Zeit bis zum Ende vorderen Ausschnittzunahmen.

Ansonsten bin ich im Moment fleißig mit dem Elternbeirat an der Schulfestplanung und -organisation. Gestern Abend hatten wir wieder Marathonsitzung und ich bin nach 3,5h auf einem harten Küchenstuhl total steif nach Hause gekommen. Ich habe zwar seit letzter Woche eine bewegliche Schiene (sprich einen Gummistrumpf mit Silikonstütze, damit die Kniescheibe sich nicht wieder selbstständig macht), aber nach 5 Wochen Ruhigstellung muss ich nun erst wieder Bewegung ins Knie bekommen. Ab nächste Woche ist Krankengymnastik angesagt.

Ich wollte schon immer mal ein schönes Foto von Lissy’s Augen machen. Das ist zwar auch nicht berauschend, aber man sieht doch vorallem das wunderschöne blaue Auge. Die Arzthelferin beim Tierarzt ist auch immer ganz begeistert.

Das Rückenteil ist fast fertig. Ich hoffe nur, dass die Wolle langt. Ich hatte zwar ein Knäuel extra bestellt als in der Anleitung stand, aber da ich die Jacke auch etwas länger stricke und auch die Armausschnitte viel tiefer gesetzt habe, werde ich wohl doch etwas mehr Wolle brauchen.
Übrigens läßt sich diese rost-schwarze Harmonie sehr viel schöner verstricken als die orange, aus der ich letztes Jahr diesen Pullover genadelt habe.

The back is almost done. I just hope that I have enough yarn to finish the cardigan. I had ordered an extra ball despite the pattern but I also want to knit it somewhat longer.
BTW the rust-black yarn knits up much nicer than the orange from the same brand I used for this sweater last year.

Da bin ich während meiner aufgezwungenen Pause durch meine Hefte gegangen und in die Tiefen meiner Vorräte abgetaucht, um mir etwas Sommerliches zu stricken. Eine Anleitung war relativ schnell gefunden und auch meine gesammelten Schätze haben passende Wolle ausgeworfen. Ich habe also angeschlagen - einen Pullover mit schönem Lochmuster aus der Stricktrends - nur um dann nach einigen Reihen einen Fehler in der Anleitung zu finden. Ich habe also das Ganze wieder in die Ecke gepfeffert Dann ist mir eingefallen, dass ich ja schon letztes Jahr eine Jacke aus Junghans Harmonie begonnen habe und die habe ich jetzt wieder in der Mache. Die Hälfte des Rückenteils ist schon fertig und bei NS 5 sollte es einigermaßen voran gehen.

While staying at home with my injured knee I thought of starting something nice for the summer. I went through my magazines and my stash and found a pattern and matching yarn. I cast on just to find a mistake in the pattern. I already frogged that and remembered that I started a sweater last summer. I picked that up again and with needles size US8 it knits up rather quick.
