Der February Lady Sweater wächst weiter. Noch vier Reihen und ich kann Körper und Ärmel trennen. Im Moment bin ich aber dabei die gefühlten 1000 378 M zurückzustricken, weil sich im “Möwenmuster” (gull lace pattern) ein Fehler bei der Aufteilung eingeschlichen hat *grmpf*. Das Garn eignet sich nicht wirklich für solche Vorhaben *doppel grmpf*. Na ja, was uns nicht umbringt….
The February Lady sweater is growing. Four more rows and I will separate body and sleeves. At the moment I am kntting backwards felt 1000 378 st, as I made a mistake while establishing the gull lace pattern *ARGGH*. The yarn isn’t very suitable for such an enterprise *double arggh*. Well, what does not kill us….

Die Wolle habe ich auf dem Weg zum Bodenseetreffen bei Fischer-Wolle mitgenommen. War ein Schnäppchen für EUR 4,95 
Mir gefällt die Farbgebung sehr gut. Irgendwie erinnern mich die bunten Streifenan ein Rosenbeet im Pointillismus-Stil.
I picked up this yarn on my way to the knitting meetup at Lake Constance. It was a bargain for EUR 4,95. Somehow the coloring reminds me of a rose bed in style of pointillism.
Für Backnang stricke ich mir einen February Lady Sweater, der ja schon fast zu einer Uniformjacke unter den Strickern mutiert ist. Ich benutze “Carmen” von Woll Butt allerdings in grau-anthrazit. Hoffentlich langen meine Vorräte, denn die Farbe gibt es nämlich nicht mehr.
For the ravelry-meeting I am knitting February Lady Sweater, which mutated somewhat into a uniform jacket among knitters. I am using “Carmen” by Woll Butt in gray-anthracite. Hopefully the yarn in my stash will be enough, as the color is discontinued.

Die Kurzsocken zu den Loferl sind fertig. Ich habe sie eben im Wollgeschäft abgegeben. Nicht sonderlich begeistert bin ich von der ONline. Die ist so ungleichmäßig versponnen, dass das Strickbild nicht meine gewohnte Gleichmäßigkeit aufweist!
The sneaker socks are ready. I just dropped them off at the LYS. I am not too thrilled with the ONline yarn. It is twisted rather irregularly, so the knitted outcome doesn’t have my usual evenness.
die Mitarbeiterin/Angestellte meiner Wolldealerin ihrer Chefin etwas besser zugehört hätte, wäre der Strickauftrag von den Loferln mittlerweile erledigt! Sie hatte den Auftrag, mir zu sagen, dass die Kundin, Füßlinge in Gr. 42 haben möchte. Zu mir kam nur der Wunsch nach “irgendwas für die Fesseln” durch. Als ich am Montag dann nochmal drin war und mit der Besitzerin selber gesprochen habe, wurde ich gefragt, ob ich nicht noch Kurzsocken dazustricken könnte. Allerdings jetzt halt etwas unter Dampf, denn das Ganze muss bis Freitag Vormittag fertig sein, weil es ein Geburtstagsgeschenk ist. Nun gut, Kurzsocken sind ja nicht so tragisch. Der erste ist gestern im Indoor-Spielplatz bereits fertig geworden, der zweite ist in Arbeit. Die Kundin ist übrigens sehr zufrieden mit der Strickarbeit der Stutzen.
the employee of my LYS had listened a little better to her boss she would have known to tell me that the customer wants sneaker socks with the calf socks and the job would be done by now. To me she said the customer wants “something for the ankles”. I returned to the shop on Monday to talk to the shop owner and she told me about the sneaker socks. As the socks are a birthday present now I have to rush as they should be finished by Friday. Okay, sneakers aren’t that hard to knit. The first was finished yesterday at an indoor-playground, the second is in the making. BTW the customer is very pleased with the calf socks.

Ja, ich weiß, Alfons Schuhbeck hat mit Loferl eigentlich nichts zu tun. Ich wollte nur einen leicht Bayrischen Hintergrund 
Heute habe ich die Dinger im Wollgeschäft abgegeben und dabei erfahren, dass ich - falls möglich - noch Fesselstutzen stricken soll. Die Besitzerin war allerdings nicht da, also werde ich am Montag nochmal vorstellig werden, um mir die Wünsche der Kundin schildern zu lassen. Ich würde ja eher zu Sneaker-Socken in den Farben tendieren, die aus den Haferlschuhen rausspitzen können. Na mal sehen.

Today I delivered the socks at the LYS and was informed that the customer wants some addition in form of ankle warmers. The owner of tha shop wasn’t in so I will be back Monday to discuss these wishes of the customer. I would tend to add sneaker socks to the calf socks that can peek out off the “Haferlschuh” (shoes that go with the traditional Bavarian costume)
Ich war dann gestern noch im Wollgeschäft. Leider war die Besitzerin, für die ich das Tuch stricken soll nicht da. In den Sommermonaten ist samstags geschlossen, also am Montag… Ich werde berichten.
Inzwischen stricke ich die Wadlstrümpfe weiter. Vielleicht schaffe ich die ja bis Montag, dann kann ich die da gleich loswerden.
I went to the LYS yesterday. Unfortunately the owner for whom I am knitting the shawl wasn’t in. In the summer months she also doesn’t open the store on Saturdays, so Monday… I will report.
So meanwhile I am knitting the Bavarian calf socks. Maybe I am able to finish those til Monday, so I can deliver them.
